moonGarden Launch Party
moonGarden is a light and sounds art installation launching in Sherwood Park this weekend. It’s a fun way to celebrate the Special Olympics in Sherwood Park, kicked off with a moonGARDEN launch party!

Free Fires and Hot Chocolate at City of Edmonton Parks
Come enjoy a cup of hot chocolate next to a warm fire outdoors. This is a great way to wrap up skating adventure or just enjoy the outdoors. Available at William Hawrelak Park, Victoria Park, Rundle Park, Victoria Park, Castledowns Park.

Hit the Waterpark for a Fundraiser
This weekend, hit the waterpark for a fundraiser event. It’s only $35/person, and all of the proceeds of the event go to building a brand new playground in the Glengarry Community. It’s a great opportunity to save a few dollars on your next visit to the waterpark and stay warm!

Hops on the Hill
Every Friday, visit Sunridge Ski Hill for Hops on the Hill. It’s a fun way to start the weekend, with snow tubing or skiing, live music and a rotating brewery every week.

City of Edmonton Play Rangers
Every Saturday, explore new themes and places to play in Edmonton. You can learn about snowshoeing, get the chance to try it for yourself, build snow forts and have directed play, outdoors. These sessions are lead by local team members with City of Edmonton Play Rangers, and encourage all kids to get outside and play!

Inflatables in the Pool
It’s a great weekend to hit the pool! On Saturday afternoons, you’ll find Inflatables in the deep pool at Millennium Place. Enjoy a deep water rec swim with diving, flippers and bigger mats and toys. The inflatables at Millennium Place are perfect for older children, for a weekend swim!

FREE: Coding Lab for Kids
Code and create as a family with Swift Playgrounds using iPad. Kids will experiment with code and design an app using the About Me playground. They’ll use Swift code to customize their app with fun fonts, background colours, Memoji and more. Then you’ll work together to bring their app to life. Recommended for kids ages 10 and up. Devices will be provided.

Take Part in a Lantern Parade
Bring a container to make a Lantern and take part in the lantern making workshop, and lantern parade in Hazeldean to Light up the Night this weekend. This is a free workshop and activity, open to everyone.
