    If you are looking for a fun activity to do with the family, we’ve got a great workshop for kids that will teach them about building. Kids can learn how to build their very own Tow Truck.

  • Engineering Day at Telus World of Science
    Student teams from the University of Alberta Engineering Faculty will lead exciting activities and demonstrations throughout the Science Centre, inviting guests to experiment, test ideas, and create impressive engineering solutions. From creative problem-solving to real-world applications, each team will present a unique, fun, and educational display while competing to deliver the most engaging experience of the day.

  • FREE Try it Session - Para Nordic Skiing
    Experience Para-Nordic! Trial of adaptive ski equipment, techniques, and methods in sit-ski or standing ski categories, including guided skiing for visually impaired. The sleds or sit-skis are available for participants to use during the program.

  • City of Edmonton Play Rangers
    Up for an adventure? Come try out a Kicksled or build a snow fort. Maybe try snowshoeing or just come by to stay warm next to the fire. This is a free drop in program, no cost or registration required. Just come and stay warm!

    Drop-in availability dependent on snow and trail conditions* Explore world class groomed trails for classic and skate skiing.  NEW for Winter 2026: 2.3 km of lit cross-country ski trails. Rental equipment available for snowshoes.

    Hey parents! Got a kid aged 6–12? Bring them to our fun, in-person robotics camp run by STEM's FTC robotics students where they’ll dive into hands-on STEM activities and explore the exciting world of robotics. This camp is all about sparking creativity, building confidence, and developing problem-solving skills alongside other curious young minds.

  • FREE Kids Coding Workshop: Create an Interactive Story of Kindness
    We invite kids ages 6–10 and their families to imagine what kindness means to them by making their own interactive storybook on iPad. They’ll draw, record sounds, add fun 3D shapes and more as they dive into the world of creative storytelling. Devices will be provided.

  • Musical Morning at Winspear Centre
    Back by popular demand! Join Ms. Kate for a musical morning and meet professional musicians and their instruments! Together, you’ll sing, laugh, and be amazed by all the things different instruments can do with a fun variety of familiar tunes at each concert. Come and learn with your child in the upstairs lobby of the  Winspear Centre. Bring a pillow or your favourite blankie for floor seating!
